It's still too hot to make sense of anything....

My baby girl has had and continues to have a wonderful 8th birthday. Last night we had a small celebration at the house of a friend whose air conditioning was working...what a blessing! It was quite a good evening, culminating in my falling asleep out on the porch swing because I was so over the day of heat, shopping and emotional swinging.

Andrew came along and I stayed away from him all evening. He didn't give my daughter anything for her birthday. He sucks.

Her dad has taken her out today and will make a big fuss of her. Andrew can say what he likes about her father but at least her dad sees his children more than once a fortnight. I'm not sad that Andrew won't be around anymore. Bye Bye.

I'm going out now to see if maybe the air conditioning in the mall is working today as it wasn't yesterday. I looked like a beetroot.

Today I have an appetite. Only thing is, I haven't had time to shop for food so that's what I better go do now as that warm can of three bean salad in the cupboard just isn't going to cut it, you know...

My uterus is aching. Probably because everything is shifting around down there. It's been, well, eight years since anyone has lived in it and I've forgotten so much about it. I'm just remembering that you can feel nauseated one minute and starving the next. He thinks I'm going to come around and comply with his wishes. I'm waiting to feel those first little butterfly movements. I'm keeping it all to myself.

Happy Belated Birthday to baby girl, and good riddance to Andrew.

You seem to be taking this all rather well... but then again, I can only tell from your blog. I hope everything works out well for you... you're in my thoughts (I'd say that you're in my prayers as well, but who are we kiddin here? I don't pray. I'm a heathen.)

Oi! I thought you said this wasn't going to become a preggers blog!

Only kidding. I'm sure you'll remember a lot of other things about what it's like to be pregnant along the way. I have a dim dark memory of some of them, and let me ask now that there be *some* things that you *don't* share with us LOL!

Hope your air con gets itself sorted out soon, I reckon working air con should be a housing regulation in Oz!
